Poodle Female White 4-5 years old 5.5 pounds PHOEBE Poodle Female Black 2 years old 11 pounds Both girls were rescued from a house where they had been left alone for many weeks after their owner was hospitalized for a very long time. They are both sweethearts and happy to be with people again although loud noises startle them and sudden movements upset them. Gracie and Phoebe are complete lap dogs who love to cuddle and bond to their human. They have learned to walk well on leashes and have made progress with house training. Neither are crate trained. GRACIE is a love bug and adores being held by her human - her favorite place in the world is in your lap. Grooming, petting and handling are all just fine with her. When you are petting her she closes her eyes in bliss! When she does not get enough petting, her tiny paw will tap you on the arm to remind you to continue. GRACIE loves to play a little fetch and tug but then is ready to cuddle. She sleeps in a blanket nest. GRACIE does not get along with other dogs and will let them know it by a quick and noisy charge then a rapid retreat. It's all sound and fury! This is a behavior that needs to be worked on. PHOEBE attaches to her person quickly and then loves to sleep anywhere nearby (tucked behind you on the couch or on the floor in her donut bed). She enjoys meeting people and has even gone to the office with her foster mom with great success. PHOEBE also loves to run, play fetch and tug with her 40 pound foster brother. She likes to bury her head between two pillows and take a snooze. Phoebe is very protective of her favorite person and will vocally defend her with snarls, growls and grumbles. This is a behavior issue that needs to be worked on. Understandably, neither want to be alone and away from their person so will need a quiet home where somebody is home most of the time. Their owner will also have to help them get over their individual issues with training and patience. As a result, their affection, loyalty and love will be well worth it!
